IV. Meeting schedule
Moderator: Jiawen Wu
(1) 2021/12/12 14:30-15:00 (GMT+08:00)
Opening Remarks
Wenqiang Wang Yan'an University
(2) 2021/12/12 15:00-15:30 (GMT+08:00)
Muhammad Hamzah Saleem, Doctor of Philosophy in Plant Science, Huazhong Agricultural University, China.
Report title: Interactive effects of gibberellic acid and NPK on morpho-physio-biochemical traits and organic acid exudation pattern in coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.) grown in soil artificially spiked with boron
He has published many Research and Review articles and focus on Cu toxicity in fibrous crops. In addition, I have published more than many articles in well-known journals with different groups in Pakistan and China. From his published papers, I have many citations and because of the large number of publications I have won the Research Contribution Award from my previous university in China. My main idea was to use fibrous species for the phytoextraction of Cu, from Cu-polluted soil. From this idea, he is doing his doctorate degree and has found some reliable results. He is also a managing editor in “Life” MDPI entitled “Cultivation and Regulation of Abiotic Stress for Field Crops”. In addition, he is also doing help to my countrymates in the writing thesis or research article and also teach them about well-known software’s such as RStudio or Origin. He is looking forward to an active research member who can help me and I can help them in every aspect of the research.
(3) 2021/12/12 15:30-16:00 (GMT+08:00)
Adnan Mustafa, Professor, Institute of Chemistry and Technology of Environmental Protection, Brno University of Technology, Brno, Czech Republic.
Report title: Long-term fertilization enhanced carbon mineralization and maize biomass through physical protection of organic carbon in fractions under continuous maize cropping
His research is focused on soil organic carbon (SOC) accumulation mechanisms, plant-microbe interactions, biochar production, and utilization for agricultural crop production and environmental remediation. He is actively involved in bioremediation of contaminated soils using organic and inorganic amendments in addition to exploiting plant-microbe interactions. He has published over 50 refereed journal articles, many of which sought to explore the effectiveness of innovative soil amendments and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) for improving crop performance and soil resilience under various abiotic stresses. He has been working for several renowned academic societies and enjoys early career in research.
(4) 2021/12/12 16:00-16:30 (GMT+08:00)
Xiukang Wang, PhD, is a professor and Deputy Director of the College of Life Science at the Yan’an University of China.
Report title: Determining optimal mulching, planting density, and nitrogen application to increase maize grain yield and nitrogen translocation efficiency in Loess plateau of China
He received his PhD in Agronomy from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014. He is a professor and master supervisor of ecology. Mainly engaged in field crop planting, water-saving irrigation agriculture, dry land water and fertilizer cultivation theory and technology research. He has presided over more than ten scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation. He has published more than 100 papers, such as “Advances in Agronomy”, “Field Crops Research”, “Agricultural Water Management”, “European Journal of Soil Science”. Now, he is the leader of Shaanxi University Youth Innovation Team.

Sunny Ahmar is currently working as a research associate at the Institute of Biological Sciences, University of Talca, Chile.
Report title: Advantage of Nanotechnology-Based Genome Editing System and Its Application in Crop Improvement
He has received his Master's degree in Plant Breeding and Genetics from the Huazhong Agriculture University, China. During this period, he worked extensively on genome editing techniques, crop stress physiology, agro-nanotechnology, nano-based genome editing, and molecular biology. He has expertise in CRISPR/Cas9.Presently, he is working with nano-based genome editing and their interactions with plants to develop a speed crop improvement mechanism in one year, He has published more than 60 research papers and review articles.
